Today is Father's Day and we grilled out awesome Smithfield® Extra Tender St. Louis Style Pork Spareribs.

I shopped at Walmart and chose these St. Louis Style pork spareribs from their huge selection of Smithfield®  ribs.

The past couple of years I have entered a Rib Cook off at our County Fair. I have tried different techniques for preparing my ribs. My family's and also the judge's favorite are when I use the Oven/Grill method. This method is also found on the back label of Smithfield® ribs.

I love how Smithfield® has included several ways to prepare your ribs on the back of the package but in my opinion they are best when they are Grilled or Oven/Grilled....nothing like ooey gooey homemade BBQ Sauce slathered all over these great ribs. They are truly finger licking good!

Oven/Grill method is nice because I know my ribs are already fully cooked before I put them on the grill. Grilling them brings out a more smokey BBQ outdoor flavor that cannot be beat. It also allows you time to prepare/prep your dinner or outdoor BBQ party as you can bake your ribs early and refrigerate them until you are ready to BBQ them on the grill.

I like to season my ribs with a homemade dry rub before baking them. The night before I am going to make my ribs I rub them down on both sides with my homemade rub. Place the ribs in foil and refrigerate over night. If you are grilling right from the oven then 2 1/2 hours before your eating time, place foil wrapped ribs (meat side up) on a baking tray in the oven at 350 degrees for 2 hours. Get ready to be craving these ribs because your house is going to smell amazing!

Upon getting my ribs out of the oven I fired up my grill to give my ribs a glorious Grilled BBQ finish. Grill the ribs for about 15 minutes flipping a couple of times. Then start to lather on the Peach BBQ Sauce. I smother both side of the ribs with the Peach BBQ sauce and flip them several times continuing to grill for 15 to 20 minutes. Once the ribs are as ooey gooey as you like them take them off the grill and enjoy!

On the grill with lots of luscious Peach BBQ Sauce
